Nothing says, "You obviously don't belong here" like standing in the middle of the gym with your eyes glued to the last 5 minutes of an INCREDIBLY INTENSE (American) football game and no one else around even seems to care. Last night (Tuesday) Danish TV aired Monday nights Dallas Cowboys-Buffalo Bills game. We knew ahead of time that the cowboys won, but when we kept seeing how little time was left we were in disbelief that they could pull it off, and though we knew they would win... we couldn't help but stare and watch as the game got more and more intense until the last seconds. And WOW, what a game!!!!!!!!!! If you saw it, you know what I'm talking about.
Funny thing is, we aren't THAT big of NFL fans... college football though, we love. But, there is something comforting about being so far away and seeing something that reminds you of home, regardless of what it is.

We are surprised you didn't hear Paul yelling all the way to Denmark! It was amazing. We loved that they won, but even we must admit that they probably didn't deserve the win. Here in TEXAS, we LOVE those COWBOYS! ;)

Ah yes, Jason was watching too. He couldnt believe it either. Stuff like that makes his night (and he is not really a fan of either team.. but nail biting football moments .. well thats the manly part of him right there LOL). It kind of set aside the parts where he tells me how to do Heather's hair...

Were you only able to see the game at the gym or is that just where you were at the time?
I hope I have the same luck being able to watch the Dallas Mavericks play when I move... Mads is trying to figure out how to get me a connection to the NBA... Jess and I have season tickets to the Mavs and the thought of not seeing them each week makes me sad!! :o)
Oh Lawd! I haven't lived in Texas since March of 2006, so I have forgotten how crazed you people are, esp. about sports and MOST especially about the sport of football. Well, they didn't have such a good day against the Patriots. I think my team, the Indy Colts, will take care of them (Pats) in a few weeks. I do like the coach now, Phillips, a LOT more than I liked that overrated Parcells!
